Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign up for a tour?
For some of our tours, registration is handled through a club called People Cycling. It's FREE to join at peoplecycling.org. We have developed a relationship with People Cycling in an effort to keep our fixed cost down, and pass those saving along to you. The current tours where registration is handled through People Cycling include: Tour the UK - London to Edinburgh, Going Coastal in Oregon, and Ride Across France.
How do I pay the deposit and other payments?
You can find payment information in the Ride Description on the People Cycling website. The Tour Director will email an invoice to you. You can just write a check to Marty Fink and mail it to Marty Fink, 131 Forest Hills Ln., Roseburg, OR 97471, or you can initiate a no fee bank transfer using Zelle.
What happens if I need to cancel a tour?
You can find the cancellation policy for each ride in the Ride Description on the People Cycling website.
What insurance do I need?
All participants should have their own personal medical insurance and travel insurance policies to cover any health issues and unexpected emergencies that may occur both before and during a tour. Travel insurance policies are available from many companies. Here are a couple sites you can visit:
https://www.travelinsurance.com
http://www.travelinsurancereview.net
When do I get more information about my tour?
After you’ve made your final payment on a tour, the Tour Director will email additional details on the tour, including logistical information, hotel list, maps, route sheets, cue sheets and GPS files.
How much support is provided during the tour?
At Cycling Adventure Tours, LLC we provide you with everything you need to have a successful tour, and still give you the freedom to customize your tour to your preferences and abilities. We provide suggested routes, cue sheets, GPS tracks and maps for each day. We give you suggested sights to see and the best features of each days' route. We arrange all your overnight accommodations and carry your luggage to each location. However, during each days' ride, you'll still have the freedom to explore and customize your cycling adventure. Perhaps you want to make your day easier or more challenging, you have those options. While emergency support is always provided, we do expect cyclists to generally complete their daily ride independently.
I have additional questions. How do I get my answers?
Go to the “Contacts” page on our website. From there, you can fill out the simple form, and it will be sent directly to the Tour Director who will get back to you shortly. Or, you can just simply call the Tour Director. Either way, you will have an opportunity to talk directly to the Tour Director to get your questions answered before signing up.
